In 2016, two French artists and two Québec artists will do residencies overseas, in the Gaspé, Québec, and in Picardy, France. The results of their residencies will be presented at the same time in the Gaspé and in France.
In residence in the Gaspé
Camille Hervouet (Nantes, France)
As part of the Gaspésie-Vendée partnership, the French photographer came to do an artist residency in April 2016 and took a special interest in the houses of the former residents of what is now Forillon National Park. The results of her work will be exhibited in the summer of 2016 in Vendée, France, and in 2017 in the Gaspé at the 8th edition of Rencontres.

Results of 2015 residencies
As part of the Gaspé–Picardy for Photography partnership, Québec photographers Isabelle Hayeur and Benoit Aquin were hosted for an artistic residency in France in 2015, while Rencontres welcomed French photographers Claudia Imbert and Jacques Damez. The results of their various residency projects will be exhibited in the summer of 2016 at the 7th edition of Rencontres.
