Scent of innocence: naïve art in photography

Scent of innocence: naïve art in photography is an exercise that attempts to formulate a theory on the basis of the following question: is it possible, at a time when everyone has a camera, to speak of a naïve or folk photography? Artist Maryse Goudreau invited the members of the Centre d’artistes Vaste et Vague to try to show how the tradition of naive art could translate into the medium of photography. Those members consequently focused on photography as a naïve medium, offering a panorama in the image of a bazaar.
