Promenades photographiques in Vendôme

Promenades photographiques in Vendôme

As part of the project “A Bridge over the Atlantic” initiated in 2013, Rencontres internationales de la photographie en Gaspésie has partnered with Promenades photographiques de Vendôme (France) to create new creation spaces on our respective territories. The collaboration project focuses on hosting artists in residencies and on exhibiting international artists at our respective events. We thus offer new exhibition spaces for Québec artists in France and for French artists here in Québec.

Promenades photographiques will be opening on June 20. Over 20 exhibits will be waiting to be discovered in the town of Vendôme. During the opening weekend (June 20-22), a number of free activities are scheduled: a publishing fair, a photo promenade in town, lectures and a roundtable.

Claude Goulet, director of Rencontres internationales de la photographie en Gaspésie, will visit Vendôme to be part of the launch of the festival, which will run until September 21. He’ll also be on the jury for the Prix Mark Grosset, an international competition reserved for photography-school students.
